About John Keefe
John Keefe has dedicated over 30 years to teaching martial arts, continually striving to uphold the highest standards of instruction. Committed to lifelong learning, he regularly attends seminars and visits schools across a variety of styles, training with some of the world’s most accomplished martial artists to deepen his knowledge, sharpen his skills, and refine his techniques.
A certified and recognized expert in Tai Chi, John also holds the esteemed rank of 5th-degree black belt, or Shihan (Expert Instructor), in Kenpo Karate. His martial arts background is extensive, with significant study in Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, and traditional weaponry from both Japan and China. He has also studied Nihongo (Japanese language), further enriching his understanding of the culture and philosophy behind the arts he teaches.

With over four decades of martial arts training, John Keefe reached the prestigious rank of 5th-degree black belt—master level—in Kenpo Karate. Building on this foundation, he created his own unique system known as Dynamic Fist Law (DFL). This innovative martial arts style blends elements from multiple disciplines and is structured into three core areas: Traditional Forms, Self-Defense, and Fighting.
